Terms and community rules

The deal between you and Fluidlabs, the company behind CliquePick, and the rules everyone agrees to so that meeting new people stays safe and good.

Draft of 27 September 2026

DRAFTThis is a working draft for review. It is not legal advice and it is not final: it will be reviewed and completed before CliquePick launches. Highlighted text marks details still to be confirmed.

About these terms

These terms are an agreement between you and Fluidlabs [legal suffix to be confirmed], company number [to be confirmed], registered office [address to be confirmed] (“Fluidlabs”, “we”, “us”), which publishes and runs CliquePick. The app asks you to agree to them, including the community rules, before you can create a profile. If you do not agree, please do not use CliquePick.

Our privacy notice explains how we handle your personal data.

Who can use CliquePick

  • You must be 18 or over. We ask for your date of birth when you set up.
  • You may have one personal account, and it must be about you.
  • You must not use CliquePick if we have previously banned you.
  • [whether to exclude people with convictions for sexual or violent offences - to be decided with legal advice]

Your account

You sign in with Apple, with Google, or with a one-time code sent to your email. There are no passwords. Keep access to your sign-in method secure: you are responsible for what happens on your account. Tell us straight away at support@cliquepick.app if you think someone else has used it.

Community rules

We have zero tolerance for objectionable content and for people who abuse others.

Breaking these rules can get your content removed and your account suspended or permanently banned. For serious breaches we act without warning.

On CliquePick you must not:

  • Pretend to be someone else, run fake accounts, or give a misleading picture of who you are.
  • Harass, bully, threaten or stalk anyone, or keep contacting someone who has said no or blocked you.
  • Attack people for who they are, including their race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, disability, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, age or health.
  • Share anything that sexualises children. Ever. We report child sexual exploitation and abuse to the National Crime Agency and other authorities.
  • Post nudity, pornography or sexually explicit content, or use CliquePick to solicit sex.
  • Post violent or graphic content, promote self-harm, or encourage dangerous acts.
  • Break the law, including buying, selling or promoting drugs, weapons or other illegal goods or services.
  • Spam or scam people, including chain schemes, fake events and commercial promotion we have not agreed to.
  • Share someone else's private information, such as their address, exact location, contact details or photos, without their permission.
  • Create events that are unsafe, unlawful or not what they say they are.
  • Interfere with CliquePick, for example by scraping it, getting round blocks or bans, or trying to work out where another member lives.

Meeting in person

CliquePick helps you meet people in real life, and you are responsible for your own safety when you do. We do not run background checks on members. Meet in public places, tell a friend where you are going, and leave if anything feels wrong. If someone is in immediate danger, call the emergency services (999 in the UK). Then report what happened in the app or at safety@cliquepick.app.

Reporting, blocking and moderation

  • Every profile, post, comment, photo, message, event and Clique has a Report option in its menu. The person you report is not told who reported them.
  • You can block anyone. Blocking hides you from each other everywhere in CliquePick, including events, and closes any conversation between you.
  • Posts, bios, event details and photos are screened automatically before they are published, and our team reviews reports. We aim to act on reports within [response target to be confirmed].
  • We may remove content, limit features, or suspend or ban accounts that break these terms. If you think we got it wrong, email support@cliquepick.app and a person will look again.

What you post

You keep ownership of what you post. You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, display and share it within CliquePick so that we can run the service. The licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except where we must keep something for safety or legal reasons (see the privacy notice). You are responsible for what you post and must have the right to post it.

Organisers

If you create events, you also agree to:

  • describe each event honestly, including where and when it happens;
  • follow the law and the venue's rules, and keep numbers within safe limits;
  • update or cancel events in the app when plans change, so everyone going is told;
  • treat the people who come, and their information, with respect.

Ticketed events are not part of CliquePick yet. If paid events are added, separate terms will apply to them.

Our service

CliquePick opens city by city, and features may change as we learn what works. We try to keep it running smoothly but cannot promise it will always be available or free of errors. We may change or stop parts of the service; if a change affects you significantly, we will tell you in advance.

Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time in the app: You → Settings → Delete account. See Support for what happens next. We may suspend or close your account if you break these terms, or if we have to for legal reasons.

Liability

[liability terms to be drafted by counsel]

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law, and nothing affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

App Store and Google Play

Fluidlabs publishes CliquePick on Apple's App Store and, later, on Google Play. If you downloaded CliquePick from Apple's App Store, these terms are between you and Fluidlabs, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for CliquePick or its content, has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for it, and is a third-party beneficiary of these terms with the right to enforce them against you. [wording to be aligned with Apple's minimum terms for a custom licence agreement, and Google Play terms added for the Android release]

Law and changes

These terms are governed by the law of [jurisdiction to be confirmed]. If you live elsewhere in the UK or in another country, you keep any consumer protections that your local law gives you.

If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will tell you in the app before the change applies. Questions: support@cliquepick.app.
